“This book was mesmerizing, every chapter a cliffhanger. It reads like a colorful novel with intrigues spanning Hollywood, the Mafia, the CIA and even Communist Cuba! Her descriptions of locales and characters were so vivid I could "see" the scenery, "smell" the coffee and felt I knew these people intimately.
Despite the gravity of the subject matter (the international criminal trafficking of babies for "adoption") as told by a survivor, somehow the author maintains a compassionate, hopeful perspective throughout.
